12 Sept 2013 – Article in Geochmicia et Cosmochimica Acta

Rich Carbonaro recently published a paper in Geochimica et Cosmochmica Acta enitled “Estimation of stability constants for metal-ligand complexes containing neutral nitrogen donor atoms with applications to natural organic matter” with his co-authors Dominic Di Toro and Yasemin Atalay from the University of Delaware.  The paper describes new methods for estimating stability constants for metal complexation with nitrogen-containing ligands.  The paper can be found at the ScienceDirect website.

 

1 June 2012 – Mutch Associates grows as Dr. James H. Clarke joins the team

Mutch Associates, LLC is pleased to announce that Dr. James H. Clarke has joined the firm as Senior Environmental Chemist. Dr. Clarke, a long time partner of Bob Mutch’s at AWARE and Eckenfelder, Inc., is a recognized expert in environmental forensics and the fate and transport of chemicals in the environment, with special emphasis on chlorinated organic compounds. He also brings experience in decommissioning and remediation of contaminated sites, risk analysis of chemicals and radionuclides, and management of radioactive wastes. Jim has over 150 publications and presentations to his credit and continues his long-time association with Vanderbilt University where he serves as a Professor in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department.

 

1 June 2012 – Mutch Associates grows further as Dr. David M. Cwiertny joins the team

Mutch Associates, LLC is also pleased to announce that Dr. David M. Cwiertny has joined of the firm as Senior Environmental Engineer. Dr. David Cwiertny, serves full-time a professor of chemical and environmental engineering at the University of Iowa. David is active in several fields; specifically fate and transport of pollutants in natural and engineered aquatic systems. He also is working on applications of nanotechnology in treatment of polluted groundwater systems. He received his Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University in Geography and Environmental Engineering and a B.S. in Environmental Engineering Science from UC Berkley.
