Experience Summary:

Robert Mutch has more than thirty-five years of experience in hydrogeology, groundwater resource engineering, remediation engineering, and environmental forensics. His areas of specialization include fractured rock hydrogeology, aquifer testing, DNAPL behavior, groundwater-related natural resource damages, and numerical modeling of groundwater flow and contaminant transport. Mr. Mutch has extensive experience in the design of hazardous waste site remedial measures including groundwater extraction systems, subsurface barrier walls, low permeability caps, soil vapor extraction and in situ biotreatment. His experience includes radioisotope dating of groundwater and sediments using tritium, Cesium-137, and Lead-210. He has taught more than 100 training courses in hydrogeology and hazardous waste site and landfill remediation throughout the U.S. and in Europe and Australia.

Frequently serves as project director for large Superfund and RCRA corrective action projects. Frequent public speaker in training programs, conferences, and public meetings. Often provides expert testimony in hydrogeology, environmental forensics, natural resource damages, remedial engineering, and the history of waste disposal practice in the U.S.
